Mycophenic acid ethyl ethyl is a 2-amyl ethyl esteride product of mycophenolic acid (MPA). MMF is absorbed rapidly orally and converted into the active metabolite MPA, which in turn metabolizes inactivated glucosine glucosides (MPAG) in the liver. The average relative bioavailance of MPA was 94%, the post-oral Cmax was 1h, and the plasma concentration of MPA in 12h was less than 2.5 μg/ml. The half-life is about 16h. The steady serum concentration is generally reached on the 7th day of medication. MPA is 97% bound to plasma albumin. MPA is mainly removed by the kidneys, more than 90% in the form of MPAG excretion from the urine, a small amount from the feces.
